PUNCH Powerglide invests in "Made in France“ carbon-free mobility

Signature of a production contract with NIDEC PSA E-Motors and launch of the production of TO.TEM’s electric scooter

The PUNCH Group is continuing its strategy of diversifying its product portfolio range for electric vehicles by signing a production contract with NIDEC PSA E-Motors.

NIDEC PSA E-Motors, founded by the Stellantis group and NIDEC's subsidiary Leroy-Somer, develops and manufactures electric propulsion systems for the automobile (electric axle).

This production contract with the Strasbourg-based company PUNCH Powerglide covers the manufacture of components for electric axles that will be fitted to city cars and urban SUVs.

The start of production is planned at the end of the industrialization period for an investment of nearly 40 million euros.

In September, PUNCH Powerglide also started manufacturing "LYNX" an electric e-Scooter developed and engineered in Italy by TO.TEM, a start-up which belongs to the PUNCH Group.

TO.TEM, founded in 2020, specializes in the design of electric mobility solutions. LYNX is a new generation e-Scooter with three-wheels that guarantee major stability. The product was awarded the gold medal at the "Muse Design Awards 2020" and the gold medal in 2021 at the European Commission's "Product Safety Award".

PUNCH Powerglide is currently recruiting 40 additional people and is organizing a job placement event on 27th of September 2022. The programme of the job placement includes a presentation of the company, a visit to the factory, speed recruiting and discussions with the company's employees.
